DOMAIN 1: PLANNING AND PREPARATION
1A: Demonstrating Knowledge of Content and Pedagogy: I plan lessons to align with state standards, use appropriate strategies and techniques for content, and group students to best support learning.

1B: Demonstrating Knowledge of Students: I differentiate instruction and activities based on student needs, allow students to have a voice during lessons, and utilize various methods of learning to meet the needs of all students.

1C and 1F: Setting Instructional Outcomes and Designing Student Assessments: My lessons are thoroughly planned with learning objectives clearly stated.
1D: Demonstrating Knowledge of Resources: I used the district provided resources to address their curriculum. I am proficient in using district technology such as projectors, computers, and Smartboards. I add additional information and resources to enhance the content.
DOMAIN 2: THE CLASSROOM ENVIRONMENT
2A and 2C: Creating an Environment of Respect and Rapport and Managing Classroom Procedures: I demonstrate and maintain positive, caring, and respectful interactions with all students. I engage students in conversation about their interests.
2B: Establishing a Culture for Learning: Students are expected to actively participate during lessons. I give students encouragement and praise.
2D Managing Student Behavior: I manage behaviors with clear expectations and a positive behavioral reward system.
2E: Organizing Physical Space: I give reminders for maintaining personal and peer safety.

DOMAIN 3: INSTRUCTION
3A and 3C: I model and explain content using developmentally appropriate language for the age and level of the students. I connect concepts to the lives and interests of students.
3B: Using Questioning and Discussion Techniques: I encourage group discussions and brainstorming among partners and as a whole class. I encourage students to explain their thinking and invite all ways of learning.

3C: Engaging Students in Learning: I maintain an appropriate pace, give time for brain breaks, and circulate the room to check on student participation and understanding. I model a positive attitude for learning for my students.

DOMAIN 4: PROFESSIONAL RESPONSIBILITIES
4A: Reflecting on Teaching: I reflect on my teaching with weekly journals, ask for feedback, and implement new ideas.

4C: Communicating with Families: I attended IEP meetings where I interacted with families.
​
4D: Participating in a Professional Community: I use information from In-Service days to improve my teaching. I collaborate with peers, my mentor teachers, and supervisor regarding planning and techniques.
4D, 4E and 4F: Participating in a Professional Community, Growing and Developing Professionally and Showing Professionalism: I attended IEP meetings, participated in the Spring Math training, had In-Service learning opportunities, participated in SWBIS program, completed Google Certification, and read the LD source weekly.
